Visual Identity Through Color

When Harley-Davidson partnered with Realtree to launch a new apparel collaboration, the visual tone needed to feel bold, rugged, and unmistakably on-brand. Wheelhouse Media brought Embark Media in as a dedicated post-production partner to ensure the final film’s color language matched both the existing photography and the brands’ distinct visual identities.

The resulting 60-second branded promo introduced the collaboration across social and digital channels, blending cinematic storytelling with a highly stylized color palette that emphasized Harley-Davidson’s signature orange alongside rich reds, deep blues, and textured neutrals inspired by Realtree’s outdoor heritage.

Color Grading Approach

Because photography from the campaign had already been captured, color continuity was critical. Embark Media focused on precise shot-to-shot color matching using advanced grading techniques including rotoscoping, masking, power windows, tracking, and detailed secondary corrections to ensure consistency across environments, lighting conditions, and hero wardrobe elements.

The finished color pipeline enabled multiple versions and cutdowns of the campaign film for use across social platforms and broader digital marketing initiatives — demonstrating how thoughtful post-production collaboration can elevate brand storytelling while maintaining visual cohesion across a campaign ecosystem.
